I am trying to lighten my 21' Sonic up, so I cut a crawl hole in the knee wall to see whats under the bow. The floor goes all the way to the point of the bow. My next step was to cut a hole in that portion to see if the false floor had any floatation material under it and to see if it was water logged. No material at all and everything looked good. What do you think, cut out the false floor. I figure marine plywood with glass on it must weigh at least 50lbs and I doubt it does anything structurally. Opinions please

Does a 21' Superboat have a floor under the bow?

Frank, anybody can buy a Skater and run fast from the start. The fun is working on "different stuff", learning, overcoming the obstacles and finally getting it to run fast.

Thats not to say if I can't get this boat running fast in the next few weeks, that there won't be a Skater on the side of my house for next season:D

It certainly will give strength to your boat! I would not remove it if it was mine.

That floor creates a box, adds a lot of strength to the bow for when you're blowing through waves. I would not remove it.

some 21 superboats have the floor, taking it out of THOSE boats poses no ill effects
