hey guys....i saw this on OSO....shore dreams for kids...come by land or sea....i have never been to this event due to other obligations but i am thinking about going this year since i have heard so much about the day....do something great with our toys...make a kids day....:D :D :D

5 best outboards.

1. merc mark 75, started the inline 6 models, produced for almost 40 years.
2. merc V6 (any), a legend. takes a beating and keeps going, and sounds like heaven. (except those stators and switchboxes)
3. OMC "Sportwin" 10, 15, 18.. etc, these 50's motors cant be put to rest, they're still out in force 50 years later and can easily be tuned to run as well as they did the day they left the factory.
4. Evinrude E-tec V6, this thing has balls, tons of power and reliability.
5. Merc 800 Direct Reversing

and i have to give honorable mention to Scott Atwater 3hp becuase it was the first outboard i ever used. (and im only 19)

5 worst outboards.

1. Gamefisher (needs no explaination)
2. Force 3 cyl. 85, 90... very primative. (but i have to give them credit for being easy to work on
3. OMC V4 crossflow, seen these blow up without extreme conditions.
4. Merc 110 (9.8hp), hard to work on and don't run very well.
5. Merc 100, 115 inline 4, worst design ever, only idles on 2 cylinders.
