Don't know how many members have used this but I just finished my third application on my fishing boat. Instead of paying to re-deck my Toon with vinyl flooring I just pulled up the carpet sanded everything put on a layer of epoxy and then sprayed on the Rhino lining. It has been over a year now and it still looks like I just sprayed it on. Considering the heat down here in South Florida, which can fade carpet and vinyl really fast, this stuff looks great and stays really cool. Just make sure to get the Marine grade lining and make sure to apply a final finish sealer. It comes in four stock colors but can be made to custom match. I have no affiliation with this company just love the product. F.Y.I. Naiscoot<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

rhino is trying to expand their uses. there're starting to use it for decks as well.
How many sq ft did you have done and what was the cost? I am looking into using something on my very battered and neglected non skid on my 21 whaler and was looking at some of the roll on DIY coatings, but if cost is close, might as well let someone else get dirty. How is clean up? I heard with some of these coatings they actually trap dirt and clean up is a HUGE hassle. How often do they recommend re-coating with the surface sealer? I imagine thats to protect it from UV rays? How slippery is it when wet?

My Allison decks are coated with Turboliner. It's not as slippery as you would think. I clean with a pressure washer. Your right about the application, it is a bit of work if you want it to look good and all the carpet glue should be removed....

I wanted my deck done in the back and they told me 6-8 dollars a square foot! The way this guy talks he did it himself and I would like to know where he got it so I can spray my deck.

Our spray equipment is not for the weekend one time use. It comes out at 175 degrees and 2200 psi. You'll spend over 20 grand for the setup. The 6-8 dollars a square foot includes sanding, taping(special tape needed), masking, and spraying. If you do some of the clean and sand maybe you can get him to come down in price. Some of the roll on stuff has heavy grit in it and would hurt to kneel on. Polyurethane spray on has a lumpier finish while the high pressure
polyurea has a tight texture. Rhino is polyurethane while Turboliner and Linex are polyurea. Make sure you have them put it on light as you don't need the durability of a truck box and the weight can add up if you put it on thick. You need a little thickness at the tape to pull a clean line and for strength at the edge.

Thanks for the info. Too expensive for my tastes.
