Recording to the computer ?

I have seen some of you guys have posted sound clips of your playing. Was wondering if you were just plugging a mic into the puter or useing any type of software ??

the way ive done it is easy, my computer has a mic at the top of the monitor, or you could plug in a mic to the back of the cpu and i click on the windows based "sound recorder" it does wave files and get the ole guitar ready and click record and play away until it stops recording and save it then post it

but theres been trouble uploading lately, and i see it says maximum size of attch file "0" bytes???????????

You can use a mini disc player/recorder with a mic hooked to it. Then upload it to your PC.
