I am currently building a mid 80s 24' Skater, the boat will be outfitted with 2 mid 80s 200hp Mercurys. I want to add an ouboard bracket, honestly, not for speed or handling but to incorporate a swim step for the kids/wife. Does anyone know where I might locate a used one that will work with some modifications? Are there any negative handling problems caused by this on a Skater?? Help!!

what do you mean by a Outboard bracket???? for use with a trolling motor?? My Skater has a platform between the motors that you can duck under the tie bar and climb right up into the splash well from the water if this is what your looking for I can take a Pic of it or get you some dimensions...
As far as handling it's not even in the water when moving

Thanks for the reply, Id love to see the picture if it's not too much trouble. The bracket I am talking about sets the motors back about 20-24 inches and has a swim step full width across the back, between the front of the motors and the transom. There are several manufacturers, Gil etcc.. but new they are expepensive. 3k and up.
