Will the opti rubber coated 5 petal reed block fit a 3.0 efi?

they should physically fit in there
I wonder if there would any performance gains from the normal 6 reed 225 cages??

i have heard that the 250 cages have had problems breaking. if i was going to to anything to reeds is put a set of after market fibers in just to have a piece of mind of not having a steel reed in block when they break. really no big performance gain just helps if you throw a reed.
IMO
What material are the cages??

I just changed my reeds last weekend and the cages out of my 2000 3.0L 225 EFi were Cast Aluminum with an Overmolded with some sort of plastic for good surfaces without the need for machining.
I'm not sure about the 250 XS but if the are only injection molded I would be shocked. Tough to get the tolerances needed with just plastic alone due to the warpage inherent in that process.

I haven't seen any of the xs's have any problems. The cage is aluminum and the reeds are carbon fiber. If im not mistaken, the aluminum is rubber coated but not sure about that. I dont know that you'd see any power increase either. Like others--peace of mind!!!
