I posted this another section, but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention.
I'm looking for advice on a proppeller for my PROLINE flats boat. The MERCURY HIGH FIVE 21 pitch gave me an excellent holeshot and decent cruise, but tops out at 48 MPH @5400RPM's. I also tryed my TURBO 14 1/4" X 22" 3 blade. It gave up alot on the holeshot, and dropped 1 MPH @ my 3600 RPM cruise. I did gain 1 MPH on the top end @ just a needle shy of 5400 RPM's. I've done my testing so far with 2 people and a 65lb dog on board with around 30-35 gallons of fuel in the tank. I got my water leak issues resolved, so I know I'm not taking on extra weight now.
What prop would be a good overall prop for my application? I would like to keep a decent holeshot, but get my topend up around 55MPH(if possible?).
