40 Amp Conversion

I want to convert my 220 Laser from 16 amp to 40 amp. I've got a flywheel and stator, and a couple of Voltage regulators. Will I have to change the top bearing cap / stator mount or will it bolt up OK? If I have to change it, what do I replace it with, part# or models.

Dremmel tool conversion.

Chewed out the clearance needed for the stator, drilled and threaded 3 extra holes for good measure.

If I had to do it again, I'd make a little jig to rotate off the driveshaft and make it a lot neater.
