How to tell top solid mounts

I have a 1987 2.4 220 Laser... I dont know who had this motor over the years


How do you tell if it has top solid engine mounts?

I dont want to take the powerhead off only to see it has them already.

does the bottom have them???

I can see the end part of both top and bottom...they have a black rubber coating on them

Then probably not solid.

Poke the rubber with a small shiny pokey thing. :)
Black can be there but it should be paint not rubber.
