250XS vs 250EFI

Lookin at a pair of XS's and efi's, is there alot of difference in performance between the two. I looked at a XS, Its hard to ever see the engine block, looks expensive to fit???????:eek:

In my opinion, the biggest difference that you will see is fuel consumption (both gas and oil), but that's going to depend on how you run them. The XS will get better mileage than the EFI at low to midrange speeds. If you run them wide open all the time, there won't be much difference.

There better on gas by all most double and the 250 XS is more like 275 HP About 5 mph on my 29 CC

Hey Mike what's up...............It was nice meeting you and your family on Saturday we need to do that again sometime.
Anyway hope you found that site I was telling you about and in my opinion definelty go with the 250xs's. Let me know when you get some time and we'll take my boat out and you can drive it with the xs's and since it's the same boat as yours you'll get the feel of what it can do. Also a thought don't forget 250xs motors from 2003-2005 you need to run premium gas.

What did you end up getting? We're talking about heading over to the east coast the weekend after the 4th. Somewhere between Melbourne and Sebastian. I need to make some calls and figure out exactly where we're going to stay.
