You guys are the best.Glad I was able to do this
today. It realy feels good to have been there with you all
and to help somebody who realy needs help.
I met Joe at the Suwannee a few years back when he approched me
while I was having trouble with my motor and he gave me some parts to
get me running.
At the time I realy didnt give him the respect he deserved.Today
I was able to give him the respect he deserved.
Oh ya I cant forget the wives foley and Metcko for the BBQ.Thanx ladies.

Boy am I feeling it now ! If you ever want to know just how out of shape you are , just climb up on a roof with 5 or 6 of your buddies and see just how long you last . As Rob said Hats Off to the ones that came and helped ! And I've got lots of respect for the guys that made it start to finish . Like Rob , I tapped out about 2:00 pm ,and went to ground duty .Thanks for the hositality from the Foley Family ! Rich Martin 018:D

Guys I understand that not all of you could come out today and lend a hand. The thought that you would have if you could is all that matters. The only thing that bothered me today was my embaressing lack of energy to continue to the last nail was in the tar paper.I gotta work on my fitness level thats for sure.Richard nailed it with the test your shape comment.
I think we are all feeling it, it was damn scorching. Despite the aches, puncture wounds, and burns, it feels damn good to help out a friend who needs our help. It also confirmed what I already knew... who steps up to the plate when the chips are down to help others out. Everyone busted their azzes today, but we got r' duuun! Both Rich and Hotshot even drove over 2 1/2 hrs each way, that says an awful lot.
Big thanks to the foleys and jodi for the big time hook up on the BBQ afterwards. Cold pool, colder beer, good food and some of the funniest stories I have heard in a long time. Good to spend some time with Bobby and chris, and a big thanks to phil who came just to help out.
You guys and girls rock!!!

Thanks Jeff, I know without a doubt you would have been up there with us had you been anywhere near Fla.
BTW, Rob Lankford (hotshot merc) was also there and busted his azzz with the rest of us, and Joe's Brother is Bobby Ward. Bobby and chris have been bustin it every day since the accident helping to take care of Joe, his dogs, his business...etc at the same time trying to take care of their own lives. If anyone drserves props, it is Chris and Bobby.

Pics coming , all I kept thinking about was patronizing my Patron saint , ...St . Pauli Girl ...... great girl by the way !!!!!!
By the way , Bobby Ward is a hell of a nice guy and a very methodical hard worker . He did a lot of wood work and didn't sweat a whole lot like us beer swilling pigs !! He is first class !!

I told him to tell Joe when he get's back on his feet that I'm buyin him beers while he tells me HOW he made a 15' Baja run 100 MPH and what it's like to DRIVE one 100 MPH.
Bobby thought that was a hoot.
Tell Bobby I said Hi next time you talk to him. Promised him some more $$ but it's been a bit slow here lately.
Let me know though (PM me cuz I'm not artound here too often) next time you guys need a good negra up there ;)

It was short notice but there was a thread about the roof party. To be truthfull any more people on that roof and I would have had to replace more wood:eek: Like I said earlyer its the thought that counts as well.Joe wasnt there but hopefully soon we can all get together maybe at lake tarpon for a day and get Joe to the park or maybe even get him a boat ride with somebody. That would be nice.
What a great group , true friendship-brotherhood.

No Problem , All you've got to do is ,Crash your boat ,Spend 4 mounth in the hospital ,a couple of more in rehab . Oh ,and have helped and earned to respect of your fellow boaters over the last 20 years . It may be much easier and cost effective to take care of this on your own ! Rich Martin 018:eek:

That is awesome guys. My dad's house in Melbourne, FL got hit by both of those hurrincanes a few years ago so I feel your pain about doing a Florida roof in the Summer....it was hell. The worst part is I spent over a week up there by myself fixing it just to have the 2nd storm come through and destroy all that I fixed and more. Had to spend 10k to get the entire thing done over. It was a tough decision weather to wear shorts and get my legs burned by the shingles and tar paper or wear long pants and pass out from being hot. I went with the shorts....after a few days, the burning didn't hurt anymore. I had to tie myself off with a rope over the peak of the roof to the hitch of my truck to stay up on it. That was the most miserable experience of my life! If I was closer I would have come and helped even though I don't know any of you. This place is awesome and it is great to see that there are people that still help eachother expecting nothing in return....that is what it is all about right?? Good job guys!

Its some spammer. Computer program that will post stuff all over message boards just to make people mad. I dont think anyone ever buys from places that do this, so I have no idea why they still do it.
