What are the performance differences between these two hulls. Pros/Cons of each. I know these are bass hulls, but this will be a "family" boat...;) as far as the wife goes. Maybe she will go for a SS-2000 or GrandSport or T-3 QuarterShot:cool:

the allison is a better family boat with a better rough water ride and wind protection. it does take more driver skill to balance the chine as the pad is narrower. the bullet is a better fishing boat.

Both hulls have excellent build quality, as welll as 100mph plus potential with the right set-up and driving skill, but...

If you aren't going to fish, the strong points of the Bullet will be lost on you.

You can't beat the XB2003 Allison for wind/weather protection, ride and roominess within the cockpit.

I picked up an XB - 2003 and installed the bench seat option in the rear instead of the two buckets and we are enjoying it alot . The boat has tons of storage ,nice casting area in the front , 30 gals of fuel and really takes mild chop well . Two of my friends have them also and use them all the time .
The wind protection is great , also its a lot of fun to drive . I am working my way to higher speeds and it drives like its on rails up to 80 . I am a beginner "pad pilot" , but so far I have'nt had any real problems . Nice boat .

As little as I fish I can justify the ALLY! Thanks for all the input.

For Family and Leasure Fishing the XB 03 would be my choose . But you mentioned some other boats for Family Riding . Of those I'd say the Grand Sport would be a better choose ,as you sit lower in the boat then any bass boat ,so your less likely to through the younger passengers out under normal operation . But then again the bass boats have asome amounts of storage room for Momma and the Little One's stuff that just has to come out for the day. Tuff Choose , but for me it would be between the two Allisons ,altough you can't go wrong with any of the options you have listed . Good Luck , and Enjoy which ever you choose ! Rich Martin 018:D :D

She wants a boat that gives me all the speed that I crave, but won't be a race only purchase that she can't ride in and enjoy without ripping the skin off her face. I think I need to get a medium powered 75hp or so fishing boat like a Tracker and a 4 seater performance boat of my choice to be completely satisfied. I think that would be better than finding a best of both worlds two in one boat.

Mr Rude

If it is family performance boating you crave them look for an Allison Grand Sport with a 150, the boat is very deep sided which will make the Mrs and the kids feel very safe!!!!! It has plenty of storage and with a 150 will run 80MPH. Try find a friend with several different style boats to take aride along with your wife to see what she likes.

Mr. Rude,

The BBote is a fishing boat through and through---also, marginally, seats three.

The ABote is an able fishing boat but will cruise with a load of four or five (depending on seating options). The ABote will also not rip the skin off your face! I can smoke a cigar to 95 mph and not blow the ash!

If you want a dual purpose boat, the ABote should be your choice.

She wants a bow-rider I/O type boat that weighs a ton and can't get out of it's own way! She points out the Tahoe boats everytime we go by Bass Pro Shops :(

Compromises are a very dull concept that never pleases anyone... Let Here have Her Tahoe, and You can Go get a real boat...;)

Bullet is a Bass boat first! Performance Second.

Allison boat is performance first Bass Boat Second.

If "NO" fishing is in your future
Allison Grand Sport or STV EURO

The GS is being pimped here and it is a great boat BUT it will be harder for the younguns to get in and out of than the 03. Also they can play on the deck of the 03 w/o tearing up the finish. It is more durable period. Just something to think about.:)

Find someone to take you and your wife for a ride in an XB2003. That'll be the best way to convince her.
