LMFAO :D:D:D:D:D:D
yep she was going to slow
it was rough ride today i might have even broke a motor mount not sure yet
im done with hydros design
im going to try and make it into a tunnel or a catamoran

Lower speeds in that kind of boat would most likely take some negative trim to keep it from bouncing. Maybe if you post what your driving it will make someone that drives one of those kind of boats chime in..
10-4 its the boat in my avatar
with a new 4 blad wheel so now every time i put a differant wheel on here i got re ajust everything all over
now its pushing the sponsons in the water to much
so im thinking fatten up the bottom of the sponsons
it is riding on three point,s
and rides good in smooth water
just cant cut it in the middle of charlotte harbour the waves are to big
it did handle them better with the 3 blad 19
i think when she shot that picture i was only about 35 mph
cause of trafic

A three point hydro will only run if the motor has enough power to propel the boat fast enough to provide lift under the boat where the prop will carry , and determine the ride height , angle of attack , of the hull . The hydro will want a cleaver design to lift the rear of the hull . Anyway , all the hydros I ever drove worked that way . Contact or read Tinker 060 's posts , he has it figured out !
heres the bottom
now the sponsons have been way flattened out since this design
evertime i have increased my sponson foot print its gotin better
but still only runs in the mid 60.s maybe low 70,s
i did see 63 on time but cat look at the gps that long at speed
i know i got the wrong gps
and had it to long to take it back to get the right one
ill have to buy the right one and shelf this gps (exsplorer 100 ) sucks
ooops i for got the picture
lol
and if you notice i curved the center section up in the front some
yea tom i dont think ill ever get it to ride on open water conditions 1 to 3 wakes
only like at river ranch and such
it is rididng on three points just like its pose to but cant take any kind of wave at all
it did handel better with the 14 29 cleaver and thats the prop i saw 63
on and who knows what it did go up to after i floored it i couldnt look back at the thing
now i cant even look about 45 way to buzy on the wheel
its going straight now but only with a lot of wheel in put
and the pressure on the wheel makes it a real handful

Sponsons are too narrow , my 11.5 ft 83 mph DSH had sponsons at least 6 - 6.5 inches wide . Again I have not messed with stuff in a while , call Gary or Eric Pugh for some guidance , but IMHO you nee more power , a gearcase , a prop and then come the big NUTS !!

Or learn how to throttle through it... ;) USE THE GAS MAN!!!!!
yea tom thats forsure
ill just fatten um up and re -ajust
i due use the throttle thats why my transum cracked
lol
yea if you got the balls you can stay wide open across all of it
but man it hits so hard its just going to break apart so i dont think that takes balls that takes a kidney belt
it would have to be steel to go across there then it would crack the welds
lol
ill have to make it a 4 layer transum to handel that
its only one 3/4 now with braces but still to much shock on the top

pussy.... just throttle up WOT... grow a pair already..

He needs to grow a bigger boat... Not a pair....
i cant find pugh,s number
but arent they going to tell me to stay out of the harbour anyways
them being the best hydro guys in the world they might just help get it to go in the rough maybe
but really i think they will say scrap it and have a fire
then build a new one for the waters were you are going to do most of your boating
i think if i add a pad for it to hit instead of the 4' wide flat after plain all at once
it might cushion it a little
but then the whole angle of attack would have to be changed everything all over again
this is the first boat iv designed and built from scratch
but i didnt think of it running in the harbour to much
im just stuck here
i would like for it to work in the harbour
i know im a offshore builder racer at one time to
this is my first hydro

The Boat looks nice and could be really fast, but that is no Harbor Boat.. Thats a glass lake boat..
yep i need some one to let me use a good gps just to confirm the speeds
and film it so i can see how to fix it now

Try asking these questions over at http://www.hydroracer.net/ there are at tonne of builders and racers of this kinda boat overthere.
im over there all the time picking up tips
i was afr on there some time back they were all great
then somthing happen dont know why or what a computor thing i quess
but i had to change to sws115
they get a little touchy with people like me who go out side the box
and run a hydro in open water and break all the rules
out of all 100,s of classes apba has this boat wont fit any of them
well maybe drag
so im just working it out to run in my harbour
there is a ton of trafic and it gets really realy rough
so we got to ajust

I got one if you make it down here :D
Yeah, your doing 70 but the gp show your doing.... 80
i dont follow you little jon 70 is 80
then my forsure 63 was 73
i know its in the high 60.s forsure as i was only at 3900 to 4100 rpm at 63
i do want to get together so i can get un disbiuted top speed
was you the boat behind me a rr when i got on it just before the bridge going in
i dont think its close to 80 but who knows i have never had a chance to stay in the gas all the way up to top speed yet
if it does do 80 then thats got to be a record for a 115
lol
wells see as soon as i get my new mods done
