I have a new Dux 13' Hammerhead with a new Tohatsu 50hp motor. The motor is down on top of the transom as far as it can go. The prop shaft is about centerline on the hijacker valves. I have a SS powertech 4 blade 17p cupped prop which works good for 1 person in boat for speed. What I am looking for is a prop for multiple people in boat or for pulling a 3 man tube, wakeboarding, skiing. I would like to get up on plane fast and pull things. I also have a problem of water washing back in the boat from the water following the motor drive back over the top of the transon faster than it goes out when I take off or try to cruise with current prop.

Any help with someone who has fixed this before or has done this????

The one i saw was near the clinton river if memory serves me.

I have no suggestions for a prop unfortunately, but I do think there are a few inflatable guys on this site.

I have what you crave.

I had it made for me when racing my Dux with 60 merc.
I was looking for a short course prop for Detroit. I raced it once at Detroit because of the killer pull out of the corners. It worked great for excelleration and hole shot:D with 2 guys. It was just a little less pitch for me than I needed for me on top end but was killer low end. I expected that with the 60 hp. With your motor it should be perfect and still get you good top end. Its a stump puller.Good for wheelies too.:D This will be a great one to handel the load you want with tubber skier,4 people in boat.It will get you on top like, planned like now and get them out of the water fast. its wa the fastest hole shot prop I had and should be perfect for a 50 hp.

She a Big 3 blade round ear like the ones they use in the surf in Africa good for ruff water too.Its a Turbo prop 15 pitch big dia, polish lab finished and blueprinted.
Each blade is very very close and will all pull the same. I have the Lab report somewhere. It s on the thick side and I leave it that way. It can be thinned alot to make it faster, pull harder, but now it will chop threw logs with out a dent. In lake St Clair you like it.
We worked with turbo and this was a hand picked real good one for the SLT 50hp or 60 short course.
I had 7 props for racing and this one pulled the hardness.
Your prop has to much pitch for your motor and will not pull the load you want. I am guessing its small Dai too.
I kept this one because I knew it be great on a 50 hp outboard.

I have a Yamaha 50hp outboard I am rigging right now on a 14 foot glass vee offshore. I need to test this Prop first and see what rpm I pull with it befor I sell her.. It might not work on this boat at all, it had lift design in it for the inflatales so who knows what she will do on a vee.

Its made for what you want to use it for. Send me your e mail address in a PM I should be trying her in a few weeks. You can stop by and look at her if ya want I am by the airbase.

P.S. I had the same problems with the transum on the dux boat. I could not get the speed I should of with it all the way down. After seeing pic and video of me racing i notice my boat ran flat and spraid but was slow. All ther other boats nose ran high not mine. The week befor the top of the bee I worked every night trying to fix this back in 1998. I finally took off the trim pump and cut the bottom 2 inches off my motor mounts. I dropped the motor down and bingo she went nuts found lots more speed. Took 1st at top of bee too rookie yr stock motor. Not the fastest but finished 2 both days to take it.
Sounds like you got the same issues. We offered designs and transum changes to builder but never used. They got a weird angle too i had to shim the top of the motor alot to make it work. later good luck

I also have a problem of water washing back in the boat from the water following the motor drive back over the top of the transon faster than it goes out when I take off or try to cruise with current prop.

This week I took the advice of Tom @Dux. I took the stock 11" 13pitch prop and over my 1 7/8 trailer ball just cupped the ears from the back side of the hub about half way around the ear. It worked. Now the boat LURCHES out of the water with 2-3 people on board. The most of the water over the back is gone. I was even pulling a 3-man tube with 3 one the boat to boot. I have noticed the Tohatsu 50 TLDI with trim does hang below the bottom of the floor and does cause backwash. Cutting is one option but not what I will do.

Thanks for all the input.
BTW with the 4 blade SS 17p sparky gave me, the boat on the first test was 56 on hand held GPS. Im sude it may go better with more throttle time.
