hi i have a 30 mercury 2 cylinder light weight outboard which i bought in 1997 ,can anyone tell me can i get any more power and speed from it and what sort off prop should i get i own a surf rescue inflatable and we race them every month so i need to get the most out off it thank you rick

there was a little chopper prop made for that series motor, about a 17" pitch. what you really need to do is get a tach hooked up and see what its turning and the gps speed. what prop you do have now?

thank you so much , how do i find out what pitch it is i had a look but there is a number on it which is not clear its looks like maybe 9.0 its a stock standard and where do you think the best place in Sydney's to take the motor to do this tach hooked up and see what its turning and the gps speed, im not sure what this means but can i do this my self?

and what do you think about supping the motor up can i get a lot more power out of it
