Lat pics..

I just wanted to thank everyone here on Scream & Fly. This was my first restoration project (hopefully not my last) and I couldn't have done it without all the helpful information and helpful people on here. The information on here is just unbelievable. Every time I had a question, I would get on here and usually someone else would have a topic going on the same issue I was having. Truly a great site.

Thanks everyone,
Gary

Are you going to be able to make Clarks Hill next week?

I don't think I can - I have to attend Mercury's Media X-Cursion, which is shortly after. I had originally planned on heading up to NY and stopping by the Clarks Hill event on my way, but the Mercury event date changed that. The Media X-Cursion is a must-attend for us. Will you be at any other events?

Greg

Phish, the seats were molded plastic frames that I picked up at a local marine carpeting store. I was lucky, he only had 2 and was not going to get anymore.

Restorations on Hydrostreams are so worth it. I'm glad to see you changed the steering wheel..alot of people restore and have a "modern" looking Stream like yours but never change the wheel.

Your Vking looks really awsome !!:D

Thanks for the compliments!
Oceanoutboard,
I had the upholstery done by this real tall biker dude that lives nearby. It's a trip to see this Big Guy sitting behind a sewing machine!! But he does phenomenal work. The first step was getting the logo digitized.

Rossi,
Your right!! The wheel had to go!! Still got it though, hangin' on the wall in my shop.

Do those seat sliders slide apart so the seats can be removed?

georgiariverrat

Do those seat sliders slide apart so the seats can be removed?

No, They do not slide apart, well, I guess you could take out the stops and they probably would. I positioned my seats where I wanted them with the seat mounts all the way forward. Now if I have to do any work under the dash, all I have to do is slide both seats back and then I have plenty of room for crawling up and under the dash. It's also pretty cool to slide them back and relax when just drifting down the river, or sitting at a sandbar.:)
