a friend of mine is selling 1/4 tunnels. fiberglass, german, uses weedwacker type o/b. killer fast and excellent quality. i was born in the stone age, so i don't know how to set up a link.... go to www.ovalexpressracing.com (http://www.ovalexpressracing.com) for info. duh, looks like the link is automatic. that was easy. check them out, if the current tunnels are too small or too slow for you, these might feed the hunger. tell james i sent you, might not help, but i don't think it will hurt.

james may not have them on the web yet. you can go to intwaters.com, a rc website, go to outboard forum, and look for 1/4 german tunnel. there are pics and info there. he is located in germany, but you can call him through a s. carolina phone #( listed on his web site). don't know how the phone works, but it's a normal long distance call- no international charges. i've dealt with him a few times, seems to be a straight shooter. call him if you don't find the info you want.

Hi Guys, I am the owner of Ovalexpressracing.com. Thanks to Robin for posting this on here for me, and for the nice words. The 1/4 scale tunnels are very new to us at OER, but they will be on the website very soon. For more info, please check out this link. http://www.intlwaters.com/index.php?showtopic=21023

The first 6 boats are spoken for, but more will be available soon. I also offer the engines, tuned pipes, lower unit, and other items for these big boats.

Please feel free to send me an email for more info ovalexpress@netscape.net

that motor id imagin would be quite a bit.... especially since its a quickdraw which is 600+ itself.

Those are awesome. Just make it a little bigger so I can bolt on a 80cc 2stroke dirtbike motor on it. 40hp and that should be the ticket for sure.

Thanks for the interest guys, if anyone wants to get on the list, email me at the above email addy. The prices for the boat hull only is $590.00 shipped to the States. Pipes, motors and everything else, will determine the speed of them, but as mentioned, the one in the picture is running a quickdraw engine. One of the best you can buy. Speed isnt cheap, but you guys already know that! :)

At the begginning of the video of the tunnel running I was just wondering how it was started up as I didnt see anyone yank on the rope. Does the motor have a starter? Maybe I missed something. Very cool though and can see one in my future. Thanks Mark

most use 24 volt rc aircraft style starters. as for motor cost, there's one on ebay, minus header/pipe for $532 aus. don't know what that is in us dollars. james at o.e.r. can supply info on pricing and availability. very knowledgable(sp?), and pretty much all he does is rc tunnels of all sizes. he can and will supply parts for other styles of boats, but tunnels are his special niche.

Hi Guys,

2.5-21, I will send you an email tonight.

Greyally, the boat in the video is the same boat that "Hottrucks" posted pictures of. You can see the pull starter on the top of the engine. We have had some problems with the pull starters on an Outboard Tunnel set-up, so most guys are changing to a starter "cone", and utilize a 24volt electric starter, as Moparbarn stated.

That is not a bad price for the motor/lower unit set-up on ebay, they are not cheap. Most guys are starting out with the Zenoah 260, as they make plenty of power for heat racing at this point.

We have had an overwhelming response to this new hull, and have pre-sold the first 9 boats, and we dont even have them yet. At this point, we would like to get caught up with the initial orders before adding any more. I have cracked the whip on the boat builder and he is going as hard as he can.

On a side note, the boat builder also does a motor cover out of fiberglass, that is similar to the full size Merc cover.... very cool, we are trying to incorporate them for use with the gas engine, however the tuned pipe makes it difficult.

Thanks! James

Guys, I have a couple of these boats available and will be ready to ship out on Tuesday. A couple of the previous people on the list backed out due to personal reasons, so I have a few up for grabs. They are $590.00 shipped to the US only. You can see them on my site, www.ovalexpressracing.com (http://www.ovalexpressracing.com)

I also just got a new shipment of the G-Morty Gas Drives (Lower units) in stock.

We take all forms of payment.

Email me direct for questions, I am not able to get on here too often. ovalexpress@netscape.net
Thanks! ~James Clegg

Is the ossi tunnel the same as oval express was selling am i correct? If not where can i find one of these hulls. Correct me if im wrong are These boats built in Germany? Did you see any at the nationals with quickdraw motors on them? I would think that boat would go faster than 50 mph. Are they stock zeonah 26 or 23 motors or modified?

The boats have the capabilites of going over 50mph...but prop selection is fairly limited as i dont believe there is much room under the cavitation plate for the size props our motors like to pull.

But they are definetely getting some speed... this is the fastest gas tunnel to date that i know of, at 67.7mph
