Ok guys, I may be picking up another play toy. I found a 1988 Talon 18 with a 1989 Evinrude 200XP. The boat is "supposively" a one owner, all original, low hours (less than 250), northeast freshwater only, has hyd. jack plate, nose cone and custom aluminum transom setback bracket tied to the stringers. Pictures show the boat nicely. Boat has been stored for the last 3 years and just had stator & power pack replaced when removed from storage.
Having owned a Talon 21/Merc race 2.5 I'm familiar with the quality of the boat. I've heard some of the Talon 18's had a violent hop. I've never been a fan of Rudes but it comes as a package. Can be bought for $7000. on a trailer. Thoughts..opinions...anyone with T-18 experience??

7K seems a little high but it may be in excellent shape. Jason Stoddard had one and it was a blast to drive. You can take it in rougher water than a STV mainly because of the lay up. They are pretty stout. Definitely a fun boat to own, a litle "flighty" if you put too much power on it.
