the terrorists truly have won haven't they?? A person can be a ****ing bomb, so can a car, a bomb can be airborne, a bomb can be made at home, trains can explode like bombs... the answer, bubble wrap and bomb shelters, don't leave the house because bombs can't get you there...

A couple weeks ago, a guy rolled his Escalade on an entrance ramp here to I-95. There was a few big red wires hanging out, so the cops shut down I-95 for a couple hours while they called in the bomb squad. The guy kept telling them it was just his stereo wires, buy NO! they would'nt let him or anyone else near it till the bomb squad disarmed his stereo. What a bunch of idiots! Wonder what that cost the taxpayers!

I find this bazaar to say the least! If the terrorist are going to do some thing no ones going to stop them! The best thing is for every one to hang wires out there trucks and show them how useless this approach is.:D I thought every one was supposed to act like normal to prove they havent hampered the spirit of the Nation? I guess hydrogen fuel cells are never going to happen because the feeeeeeaaaaar that some one may use the hydorgen for a H bomb? Prety soon we will all have little implants so the Gov can tell your species. Up hear by next year every boater must have a licence!! I got mine 3 years ago for my PWC. The licence was with a boating course and was suposed to cut down on PWC acidents. I guess they relized the money grab at $100 per licence and now they want more! Thats all this is!! Another way to profit off the shock and ahw of 911 no diferent than the oil companies, global warming, ect ect. Fear is a great motivator and the gangs and the mob have been proffiting useing these technices for decades. James

All the state police boats on my lake (not very big or attached to any rivers) are part of Homeland security. Great use of money don't you think:rolleyes:

There are so many idiots out there that love living in fear. Fear drives everything now. Can't do this, can't go there, terrorists could do this, etc. What a joke.

thanks to our government... 9/11, albeit tragic, was nearly 6 years ago, Im not saying forget about it, and that it'll never happen again but if anything many people are just as scared, or worse now, than they were when the first plane hit, I can't say that Im totally not scared, but the thought of a terrorist attack goes through my head maybe once a month... and then it gets dropped, sorry for the ramble but I agree... what a joke...

whats next not being able to pull up to the jax landing to hooters come on do we really need more regulation? more bs and I like the transponder Idea maybe then we can get a ticket in the mail for going to fast or shooting no wake zones for the wonderful manatee. Hell last week I was pulled over for the radio being to loud in my Nautique yet no ticket because he couldnt show me a document with a noise ordinance on it . As if you can tell articles like this piss me off yet bs laws like this get passed. Cant wait to meet this jackass on the water driving his bayliner!

Homeland security went to far the minute it was created as another layer of bureaucracy.

Here in Iowa, lock and dam 16 was always open to the public to watch barges and pleasure boaters lock through, then after 911 homeland security fenced the whole area in. No public allowed for almost 2 years. What they failed to realize was if someone was going to blow up the dam you would have to do it from the water. Jonboat full of tnt driven straight in to the rollers would of done the job of destroying the dam. But oh no homeland security was to stupid to realize that. You surely counldn't blow it up from shore. What dumbasses. Finally they did reopen it, only part of it though. The observation deck is open now to watch boats lock through. What a bunch of dummies.
