Thers's GOTTA be a law against that!
He says he saw him, but let here eat anyway..........
I was in back, and didn't see the "Green Stripe" till it was over, and we passed, (met) him
Sure enough, when we got to the beach and sat there for a little while...........here he comes..........and pulls right up behind us, (floating, we are on the beach), and just sits there.
So my Buddy starts pulling out all of his safety equiptment........the Law still just sits there, behind us....floating and looking..........
He, (cop), gets on the phone, (maybe to ask his boss what he can do to us)....... evidently nothing........cause he still just sits there.
No words were exchanged, only looks.
So, since we were not drinking, (I know, thats rare, but it WAS Memorial Day), we were gonna push off the beach and leave, (just to see what he was gonna do to us....)
But before we could do that, some poor guy, (blistered in more than one way), comes up and sees the Game Warden, swithces his girlfriend to the drivers seat, (and got caught), so the Law was busy for several hours taking him back to town for a BUI...........
Man......the Law has taken ALL the fun out of boating ...................NOW YOU CAN'T EVEN GO FAST??

If its anything like AL.....There is probably no speed limit but it irritates them you flew by him and he can't do anything. Last time I did something close to that they treatened me with "Wreckless Endangerment"....Come to find out theres nothing of the sort and I was around nobody...thus putting no one in danger. Most look at us as if it is something that they don't do, its wrong and there should be a law against it.....
I'm not a really big fan of the law dogs around these parts if you can tell.....
In GA and AL I feel under complete observation when they are around.....

We got pulled over leaving the dock the other day. We already had our jackets on so all he wanted to see was the horn/whistle and the gauge on the fire extinguisher. He was happy and told us to be safe....my response..........Mine handles better at a hundred than your does at thirty. He smiled and went on his way.

30 in a 25? Bet that was a white knuckle ride.
Beers and beers ago...I was running a hun in an idle zone (5-10 mph). Out comes the water cop and instant ticket. A year later I'm doing 100 in an idle zone in a different area of the lake. Out of NOWHERE comes this cop, it is the same guy. Instant ticket. I find out later he's on the Governor's gun marksmanship team...hmmmm.

we live on a small lake[1 1/4 mile long] that's connected to another lake [1 1/2 mile long] and have boated, lived here for many decades.Saturday I was finished touring the other lake about to head back through the channel when the BostonWhaler pulls up to me.Asked him if everything was okay and he said,'' you new around here,I've never seen your boat before!'' I said,''No'' I live on the other lake, have for years, and boat here all the time!He asked me how fast my boat was and I told him not fast enough. After a bunch of small talk about who I was,who we knew, etc.and the constant problem he has with jet skis,we went our way.I asked him in parting if he wanted to check my equipment etc. and he said no,see you around. One major change I've done this year is I wear my Lifeline everytime I go out,be it slow or fast!!!It really makes you feel old when evrybody knows your children and they've never heard of you!!:D ;) :p

Around hear if the police give ya a ticket you take em to court. The chances are in your favour that he wont even show up. You win. I talk to them all the time. if im going slow enough.:D 99% of the time im doing 90. They seem to be in love with my boat! Im mean it. They ask how fast she is and are in aw about that and I tell them they need a boat like this and they like that idea. They dont ussualy know how to go fast so they like a fast boat just like the next guy. James

The lake I play on has cops instead of game wardens on it. Some are a-holes, but there is one older guy who is always on a jet ski thats cool. He wanted to race my boat on his ski. LOL, said since it had more power than mine (I just said it was a Merc 200, true, although its tuned beyond that) he would waste me. After the run (like the ski had a chance) he asked if I was going to stay around for a while. I said sure. He came back with a radar gun and asked if he could radar me. I told him the 108 was 1mph off, as my GPS said 107. Then I took him for a ride while my buddy got to ride his ski. Guy is in his 60's and is crazy. Another cop tried to pull us over and he told me to run from him for fun. Wasted a tank of fuel messing with cops on the water. When I did stop, they all wanted rides. Even called the Chief of police down there for one. One guy wet himself when I did a trimmed up launch. About my first good experiance with cops. 2 days later I got pulled over in my truck for doing 90 in a 45 (oops). When he saw that it was me, he said "keep it on the water, and I want another ride in that boat." Then he let me go.

Sometimes there are some cool cops on Joe Pool. The crazy old dude also has ridden my stand-up jet ski. Watching him try to get up on it was funny. Wants me to teach him how to do backflips on it. Even though half the time I try them, the ski lands on my head. Still dont know his name. He calls me "boy" and I call him "osifer" as in the drunk pronunciation of officer.

He asked where the no wake zones are and the 25 mph zones. he mistakenlysaid the 25 mph wasthe no wake zone so my father jumpedup onaplane and started going. no sooner the cop jumped up on him. thenapoligized and corrected himself... Very pleased!

No, different buddy.
BUT.............the same Buddy that took off when the Coast Guard told him to stay, messed with them later that same day.
He saw them coming,(Coast Guard), and waited till they got real close to him..........he took off like a bat, and hauled ass away from them.
Got a mile or so down the river, stopped and waited again..................when they got close again..............he blasted off again.........did this several times, till he baited them into a full blown chase...........till he got to the low bridge, (that they can't fit under), and made his escape.
Not sure if that was a good idea or not,(once again), it may cause them to hang around the bridge till they see him again, (which just happens to be where I live)

your budd(ies) are do do birds LOL
Well that would me me the guilty one. I had the space I had the first piece of flat water I had seen all freakin day so I let it eat. By the time I saw the prick it was to late so I didn`t lift off an 1/8 inch. Take the gun away from the bastereds and they would hang their heads like a man who`s toupee just blew off. With in 10 years the law makers, the same group that was doing acid in the 60s are gonna make America soooooooo safe it want be fit to live in. But I`m not an angree white man at all.

If you have a fast boat and are respectful of others the cops know and can see this. I think they know that MOST performance boaters are more carfull than a lot of the regular boaters. Like Redneck said they just want to go for a ride.:D Ill try that next time I see the guy and gal out were I go. the gal is sweet! Ill take her for a ride if see likes to ride;) Sure you get the occational jerk but every one has a bad moment some times. James

Had me scared there for a second, thought you were talking about the IL River. Not to get off of the subject, I hope we get a chance to see your boat on the 23rd at Spring Valley the list of boats with twins keeps growing.
