I thought i'd repost this for anyone that missed it the first time around...
...a good place to buy any Bosch part is from a place called 'Roy Rogers Foreign Car Parts'...they're a wholesale distributor warehouse for Bosch products...you can't beat their prices...i just bought a merc A-7 drag pump (bosch part # 0580254984) for $197 plus shipping...brand new...he also has rebuilt pumps for i believe about half that amount....very nice guy, ordered and to my door in 2 days from Arkansas to Texas....

the man sells regulators, injectors, fuel pumps, and anything else Bosch..you just have to have the right part #...the part # on the mercury stuff is a mercury part # and is not a bosch part #...notice i published the bosch # for the merc pump, not the merc #...when bosch parts are sold by a company with their own name on it, the # becomes proprietary, and bosch won't cross reference it....now, i believe you're trying to replace injectors from a wayne taylor system...if they are bosch injectors, do you know if they have a taylor # or a bosch #...call wayne and find out...and like it matters if it goes on a boat...who cares, a part is a part....i've got the # for the merc injectors at work, and they're $56 a piece...beat that at napa....

I read him the number of the injector and he said he couldn't look it up if it came froma boat he didn't know what it is. The injectors are bocsh the guy just didn't sound like he was in a good mood.
is right on the side of injector its 0-280-150-036, its right by where the injector harness clips on. Denny if du man can get them for $56 a piece, ive got to get me some! Hell i thought Bap Geon was cheap, thats dirt cheap:eek:
Oh by the way,, somone once said in a thread i read he're that these type of injectors were came on some old Mercedies (or how ever the hell you spell it) i think from early 80's or somthing to that effect ......

I need a pump for my 260. Any ideas of what I need? I was told the pump goes in the boat?

I was told the pump for a 260 bolts to the tongue of your trailer.
LMAO:p
Techno..... The pump will work best mounted in the transom area BELOW the top level of your tank, mid level would be fine! They push alot better than they pull, hope this helps ! Denny can get you the # for what pump you need! Are you 39lbs or what? My pump is still burried in the back of my mirage! I think the #'s on the pump if i remember rightly but not sure! Dennymac help this guy out:o

Tug,
I thought I would mention that I run a Weldon which is mounted above the top of the tank for easy access and it works fine. The fuel pressure is steady. Lower is probably better, but mine seems to work ok and I can get at it.

if it was me, i'd buy the pump # i've got listed in the start of this thread...it's the factory mercury/bosch drag pump, but will work fine on the 39# boxes also...your regulator will set it where it needs to be...that way, if you step up to a 56# box later, you've got it covered...dmac

Price seems right. I'll go with that.
If my engine won't start I can always use it as a jet drive to get me back to the dock.
