New problem. no water temp!

[Big Johnson v6]

merc bp 93 carb with offshore mid. runs great but sitting at the dock water temp will not come up. running at 4k the water tempp never makes it to 100.thought gauge was broke checked with hot water and cooking thermoiter. in no wake zone will make it to 100 sometimes 110. idles with 10 lbs of water pressure . wot right at 20lbs.

do you have any modifications done to your cooling system? I removed my thermostats and poppet and had the same problem. I put restrictors in the dump hoses to keep the water in the block and it runs a nice 145-155 degrees.

Buy new thermostats. I replace mine anually regardless, cheapest insurance there is after removing VRO....
