There has been a lot of threads on high speed jetting.

How do you figure out the idle jetting? When the water was 40 and the air was maybe 60 this thing ran great. Now the water is in the 60s air 80 and it lost the snap out of the hole. It ahs 46 idle jets now, would 52s be too big of a jump?

Thanks

Maybe not the jets.

It's just the warm air and hot water.

Warm air: Loss of power!

Warm water: Loss of prop bite.

Solution: Lower pitch prop.

Put tha 52's in it, sounds like U are too rich wit soggy air...

I would keep goin up on the air bleeds till U git a bog(leen), then go back up .004.....U won't hurt the motor wit tha idle jets......

A river mota will let U know when ya too leen on tha idle jets by bogg'in when ya put it in a load(cumm'n out tha water)...If U have a light boat, little wheel, U kan leen bottom even more, because when ya stomp it, U git past the idle jetz quick enudd az not to bogg...

Give your mota what it wants!!!....if it leeves better wit 52'z, put them in, and don't worry about WHY...juss makes ya grey hedd'ed!!!!:D

Ya listen ta Rex. He knows tha carbs bout as good as anyone. Hey Rex, Jack tells me ya might have a 2.4 oval port block half ya could turn loose of for cheap :D least thats what he told me..............T

Oh yeah, Good morning Al. I see that ya needed ta holler at me. I don't understand why, Ya know we love ya man. When ya get mad like that ya need to go for a ride in that 70 mph Bullet n cool off a little.

Just thought I'd ask. We got some of those but I'm too lazy n cheap ta box 'em up n send ta Ruck. All tha 'chine shops round here get tha "deer in tha headlite syndrome" when ya tell 'em what ya need. Not in any hurry. Tha "chip" is movin' pretty slow :o Thx anyway........T

Hi ssv....
I'm just about to put my boat into the water after fitting WH22s to a 2.0ltr 150HP , could you tell me what main jets you have, and how did it run ? much better with the bigger carbs?

Karl

Karl, I never run 22'z on a stock 2.0, but my modified 2.0 had 72mains, and it wuz on the fence!!

This wuz with a 26" wheel and 2:33 geerz, so it had no load!!

Hi Mr Rex
By 'on the fence' I take it you mean any smaller and it would be a melt down situation?

Basically YEA....But a piston port mota like fuel, so it actually could go down a couple sizes to burn...but .002 down from wher I wuz didn't increase power, so that why I called it "Tha FENCE".....Behind tha liner motas juss keep runn'in harder till they burn...not like piston port mota's...PP motas like fuel...It takes fuel to make HP!!!!....:D
