saw this and thought it was pretty damn cool. Anyone ever use on of these and what the heck did it do?

That kit may have helped a little bit and I guess it would be good for a guy who is not very talented because it is a quick, easy bolt on. Those RD motors were restricted on the intake side (among other things).

However, a guy with minimal machine tool savvy could take an RD and with a little porting, compression ratio, intake, and gearcase work run away from a motor with a jet pack.

I have a 65 40 rude that I plan to convert to the 1980 style cd ing. I was wondering how to convert the intake to twin carbs or would it be worth it?
