It's a 72 with tilt/trim and quicksilver stainless peop
I'm not sure if i have an interest in running it unless it's worth fixing the one low cyl.
Here are the pics:

Cowling stripes scream 1970.. Merc only made 1350's in 1970 and 1971.. 1972 it was the blue stripe 140. went to the 1500 in 1973......

The model number is 3039773....

I really don't have time to mess with it I'm going to start disassembling the power head today. IF i can find a good power head ill use it if not im parting the whole thing out.

The powerhead, mid and lower are now apart ill look for a running powerhead for the next week or so but if i dont find any ill be selling these parts off

The previous owner informed me tonight the power tilt/trim unit and cyls were added in the mid 80's due to his handy cap... he only used the boat one or two times a year after that so this motor, particually the hydrolics, have pretty low hours.

The powerhead still has the factory seal on it.

NO 6 cyl POWERHEAD after 1971 will work on that mid EXCEPT for the '72 1150 ONLY. The '72 1400 had the newer bolt pattern as did everything else beginning in '73.

The 70 & 71 1150 & 1350. The 72 1150. The late 60's inline 6's (like the 1250's). I'm not sure how far back into the 60's they internchange, but I think anything inline 6 & black, but of course anything older than 1970 is the old crossflow combustion chamber rather than the direct charge like all the 70 & newer stuff is. The Super BP (direct charge) & BP (crossflow) race stuff would bolt on too, but I doubt you'd run across one. Also the OLDER inline 4 powerheads will bolt on.
