I have a Gambler 209 TE. I had 10 " of set back and was looking for more bow lift. I went to 12" and got a little more lift and stoped blowing such a big rooster tail. I think that I might need 2 more inches of set back, if the boat inproves the same as it did with the last 2" I should be good. How much set back is to much? Is their a better surface peircing prop then a chopper on a heavy hull like mine? I held 86 miles per hour, but lifted the plate and only gained rpm's. I don't think the chopper is the right prop for my hull. One more thing the spray looked alot cleaner out the back of the boat.

might try one of those two props ,the 24 and 26 sound a little to small if your running a 280
