Hi - I pulled apart my CLE lower (rh rotation) and I need to change the bearing carrier and bearings. Apparently this is called a carrier assembly (meaning the carrier and bearings) - can anyone tell me the mercury part number for this - or a site that would show & tell me?

what size propshaft do you have is it big or small and are you wanting to replace both the carrier and the bearing or just the bearing

I have to do the carrier and the bearings - I am almost sure that they are the large shaft (the shaft is the most common one)

if its the big shaft it may or may not have a rear drain in the carrier and the shaft will measure 1.25 in diam on the bearing surface it will also have a snap ring holding the bearing in .if none of this is present it will be the small shaft that changes the whole deal the parts donot interchange is it a big window 4 hole pick up:confused:
