Tidecraft tunnel vee???

I just found a Tidecraft tunnelvee bass boat on e-bay.Says its the same as a laser LTV.For petes sake,how many splashes of the laser ltvs were there??I knew about stratos cause I own one but never new Tidecraft did at the same time(1984).

Yeh my friend had one with a 2.6 gt johnson on it back in the 80s, run about 80mph, white and blue was the color, infact I think he may still have it.

I have ridden in one of the Tide Crafts with a Johnson GT150 on it. About 65 mph was all it was worth. A Laser dealer had it in Ohio and the bottom looked exactly like the LTV. The Tide Craft was a chopper gun boat though so you can imagine how much weighed. The LTV basser was an easy 10 mph faster with the same motor.

Gamblers version was the best looking splash of the LTV, at least the ski version was. The bass version was ugly. Only a handful were made though.

I always thought chopper gun boats were lighter???I guess if someone got crazy with the gun it could make a lead sled.I had a Glasstream back in the day that I redid and when we had the top cap of you could see thru the sides of the boat.It was a fairly light boat.I geuss its a case-by-case basis with a chopper gun.
