Congrats on getting another Ronnie. I was going to give you first dibs on mine when I move up to help you get over your loss. Scott in NH got one last fall that color that was brand new (Greg style brand new... as in no holes in the transom brand new) Good luck with it. If you get up to NH with this one I'd love for you to take mine out and give me some tips on setup etc.

Note to self. never let a fisherman have just one boat, Especially an old Hydrostream. So whats the story again on the destroyed Hydro on the beach. Not to be a rubber necker, but what the hel* happened!? Inquiring minds must know

well If it gets here before the romp I'm bringing it the way it is suposed to be a turn key thing as it sits.(right) if not I have a new motor i'm sweeping together for the Royal craft. Another 85 but a 12 inch leg this time. we will see the block just went to jim ruck today for a bore and hone.I'll have something this year not fast. i'll build a motor for the "new trouble" after Lynne's vegas is finished. I'm going to put my good motor on the vegas for a while then i'll go nuts on the viper (trouble). still have my project skater at the boat yard also need to bring that home too. Wow i have a real sickness with this boat crap. I think mark is right i'm the boat junky!!!!
Greg I'm going to sue you for doing this to me!!!!!!

Please help! Is there a support group for boat junkies? At least I don't have to waste the whole summer mowing the lawn, there is no lawn! My yard looks like a marina.
Shoot! I guess that wasn't a really good idea, I was going to take it down, but didn't do it down fast enough. :D

COO' COO'! I've been chipping away at my "new" one too. Deciding on power now. I've come up with a 2.0 f1 efi with the dual prop yammie lower on a 15 inch or the old stand by 2.5 with a sporty. I've kicked around the twin dock smashers idea too hmm..... the Viper is still the most fun I've ever had driving a boat.

Awsome news on the Viper Ronnnie, especially sticking with a Hydrostream. I'm sure others here will agree it's just was not the same without you (and Helmut) being inactive..."behind the throttle".

Just got it yesterday morning. Used Uship.com to get it home 900$ to get it from west Ill to LI what a deal would have coat me more in fuel and tolls to go and get it!! Found it has a 15 inch shaft 85merc with a spacer so off with the spacer first. second the #1 cly has 70 pouds of comp. Off with the powerhead allready torn down needs one piston the other 3 are mint. Going out to de bro the rest of the wiring now after coffe. boat is in good shape and very original. Leaving the 85 for a while. Over the next winter I'll cut the deck off and do a full resto on it( core transom ect it needs it) for now run it for a while. I alredy have plans for a 2.4 mvp oval with a custom 12"offshore cut down leg and a sporty with out an adapter. Should be cool!!

Wow, I just saw this, that's my buddy, "wild bill" farber's boat! He's outta' coal valley il. I didn't even know it was for sale! He gave it to his boys years ago, after he bought his '91 skater '21 w/ twins (hull #5). In the day, that thing was awsome, mid 90's w/ big merc v6 power, and believe it or not with a hand throttle! Glad to see its getting a proper home! He has a bunch of 8mm movies of it, Ronnie pm me if u want and i'll see if we can get copies to you. Again, sure glad its going from one master to another:D

Glad to hear it's your bud's old boat tell him it's in good hands. film would be great!!!! cool stuff!!! Norris it's not for sale I've got some room in the living room next to the 402xs that it would fit nice next to. Rossi measure yor boat from the bow eye to the transom and let me know the length and i'll measure it to see if it will fit probly will it's a big trailer.it' the one in the pics.
,motor is honed and ready to assemble just need parts.
