2.5 block mounting studs.

Wow, didnt realize there was a difference between bass versus offshore stud length for the mounting studs. I have a 2.5 offshore powerehead going on a bass mid and the front 2 studs on the rear half are way to short. Anybody know an easy way to remove these studs?

some people use vice grips. lock them tight and turn. i use a stud puller. you can buy one from snap on or maybe sears craftsman. it fits down over the stud and locks. then you use a ratchet to remove.

So they are just threaded in with regular threads?

I always jam 2 nuts together and crank em out.
