2.4's, break in after 3 years

A friend of mine has a pair a 2.4's on a 24 skater that sat for about 3 years. We started them last weekend and they fired right up. Any thoughts on what he should do when he gets this thing back on the water? Any help would be great. Thanks

Well, thats a long time, i would drain the tanks
change all fuel filters and water separators and fuel lines...... clean carbs if any.... basicly go threw the fuel system is what i would do among other things but thats gus me :D cyu TUG

Oh, Almost forgot yes i would run it for a while and let it lube itself good!!

Water pumps would be the first thing I would change. The impeller blades have taken a set and will not give good water flow performance. Doesn't do any good to make em run if they just going to burn up.
