poppet valve

I read several old post on poppets and still don't know. I have a 98 225 super mag, the poppet is plugged where the hose should go. My question is do I have a poppet valve or not? (with it plugged)

You should have one in there. Just pull it out and look. Make sure you dont dis-lodge the rubber seat when reinstalling because this will upset your low speed water pressure.

The valve is still in. I just didn't know if it being plugged it was still working or not.

If you just have a small plug on the left side, it should be working just fine.
