Here is the 1979 CBS Strat that fellow fast boat buddy Sal G., graciously lets me use.

It a keeper with original case and appraised at about $1600 Cdn.

Nice Heavy Ash body with SRV Sun burst, with hand wound pickups to pre CBS specs....

...this guitar has awesome tone...sounds like Hendrix's / Clapton Strat, but I don't play no where near those

Anthony, that's a nice guitar! Those 79's got a really heavy fretboard radius, they feel GREAT for rhythm, but when you play leads with the action set low, they buzz out when you bend 'em! People always bring 'em to me to adjust, and I have to tell them "nothing wrong with it!!" That is truly the SRV style burst finish! Looks great!

Wish I had my SG Custom back. Continental Trailways lost it coming back from Arizona when I graduated highschool. Too stupid and cheap to have it insured - learned the hard way.

Now I have a new strat. The one with the Lace Sensor pickups. Good guitar but I need to work on the setup. Have an ovation acoustic electric, a seagull acoustic electric (made in Canada or should I say fabrique in Canada or something like that) and a Yamaha folk nylon string with a pickup.

It has the locking tuners with the ball bearing nut. Black with a white pick guard. It will be with me at the Rumble as well as probably two of my acoustics. I have my heart set on a Taylor. Saw a video of how they build those things, very interesting. Very good design I was impressed.

I have also played a few Taylors and I like the way they play very easy. I would own several but there is this boat thing I got into and it seems to suck up all my money...he...he...he.

Texas special at neck. Nothin' fancy. Neck job, took the buzz out of the E. Mike Wheelers backup guitar from the group Wheels.Never played it so I bought it. Crate Vintage 30 amp. Blues player, we'll be at the Rumble and I'll have it with me. 87 Hydro
