I was wondering if any of you guys recommend using an electric palm sander to wet sand the oxidation on my boat? I'll be using 1500 and 2000 grit and was wondering if using the palm sander would be better than actually hand sanding out the oxidation. Thanks for any help, Skip

palm sanders tend to trap small bits and rub them around, even with the best of effort to keep it clean. The result is "jitterbug marks", small loopty-loop scratches that can be deeper than the grit of the paper. Sanding in straight lines is better for final finish work anyway.

Good deal, I will do that then. Using a sanding block is probably a good idea right. Any specific techniques you might recommend?
