Anyone tow with a ML500? I have 3000 pound boat and I'm wondering how well they do. Most trips are less then 60miles. THanks

I once drove my cousin's ML to tow my tunnel boat (2200 pounds or so towing weight) on a 5-hour trip up a 3000' elevation. It worked awesome, we did it at >70 mph the whole time without breaking a sweat. I liked the mirrors and brakes for towing.
Overall, thumbs up.

Won't even notice it's there, I tow with a ML270 (2.7 diesel turbo) and they are a great truck.
Towed my Ally once with my girls ML55 and she had to keep reminding
me I had a boat in tow, didn't even notice. The 500 should be just as
capable.

My bro. tows a Glasspar G3 with a ML320 and has no problem on typical 4-5hr trips. The truck tows the boat the boat doesn't tow the truck, it's very stable. A 500 series ML will be a strong towing machine for sure.

Thanks, those were the answers I was hoping for. The Liberator should look good behind it. The first time out with it will be this weekend, can't wait to see how it handles the trailer.
