I want to thank Marty & Joe from Diamond for getting my gearcase back together for River Ranch. On Wednesday night I decided to change the oil in the lower unit and found pure water, not a drop of oil. The rear seal must of went out about a week earlier when I was testing a prop. Needless to say it was going to have to come apart and I was leaving for RR3 Friday morning. I showed up at Diamonds door at 8:30 am on Thursday and asked if they could look at it. They both dropped what they were working on and spent the day rebuilding the gearcase with all new bearings, seals, water pump & driveshaft (which was badly corroded). As you can see from the RR3 pics my V-King was back together and working great.
Thanks to Diamond for making time to fix it and also offering to lend me their own gearcase if it couldn't have been fixed that day.

Here's to one of the nicest V-Kings there is :)
Mike, I would have much better shots of you if we set up a shoot like I did with Dave, Warren, and Dalton. It was so hazy out there, which made it tough, especially for a metalflake boat. Next time maybe we can set something up to get really awesome photos.

Greg, it's been 6 years since I've restored it and that's the best it's looked in photos. Marty & Joe are the only people I've delt with since getting the boat and upgrading from my first 2.5 200 fishing motor. They left a great first impression on me when they let me take home their repair manual & a handful of parts and told me to bring back what I didn't use and pay for what I did use. They didn't even know me!

Mike, it reminds me of the V-King I had like 10 years ago.

There once was a time -- before Scream And Fly -- when I had the time to use my own boat. :)

When men were men, and I still was one! Take time for life, because its not going to last near as long as you think!:) ............O/B

The boat looks really nice. I have not dealt with Marty and Joe yet being new to the performance boating world, but I am looking forward to the day I do.

I hear that - the good old days... I think back several years when I all I would think about is launching the boat and going out - be it alone or with friends. How times change. But I still enjoy being around the boats, only now I just take photos of them. :)
