Ran across this picture of my number 2 KG-4. I had just finished inspection in AU. I finished third at Cambridge, Maryland, 1956 Nationals. I was beat by Dean Chenoweth (1st) and Bill Shoemaker (2nd). This wasn't my best motor, but my dad wanted my to run it becasue it was "Box Stock"... Sixteen AU's... I'd never seen Raveaus, Sid Crafts, Speedliners in action until I got there....

Here are two more KG-4 engines being inspected on Christmas Day, 1956. (By my dad, Russ Hill, Sr.) We raced on live TV, KTTV, Channel 11 for 26 weeks, and Christmas was on Sunday.

This is a picture of my "BABY", 448916 was the serial number. I polished every external part myself... That's me, July, 1956. I was 12....The boat is a Morehouse Meteor, a one of a kind...

YES My Favorite also!
I need a KG4 Tank Band. The one that says Rocket Hurricane. Front plate would be nice also. That is all I need to complete my Green Onion Collection. I have a fine running KG4 with Q tower and foot but no matching band. If anyone has a spare they wish to part with let me know.
Thanks

Hey Laker,
When are you gonna start posting pictures of that "green onion" collection?
I am working on getting a collection started myself.
Later,
Jason

ohhh well thats a soar spot right now.. Bought a new house in January and I still dont have the shops and Displays finished..... Most of them are at my brothers.
Below is the only 2 cylinder here at the house. Its my 49 KE7 lightning. THis is the motor I actually use on my 56 larson 12footer. It has an accessory Twist throttle. 20 CID 10hp ;) ;) It out runs all the 15 hp motors I have ever owned.:D
