Hi all im pete from Sydney, Australia, we are putting together a 21ft mono similar to a bullet only deeper with a 300xs, sportsmaster 1:62 gearbox, boat weight is 1400pounds (635kg), i will be using the boat for offshore racing in the australian season i would like to ask what suggestions you guys have for this new motor and props. i have been told a 24 - 25" trophy but on the merc site it says 27 - 28" or a pro et prop, the boat also has a 6" jacking plate, trim tabs and ballast tank.

your suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Pete

I can not comment on pitch, but everyone tells me to run a trophy also

24 deep v.

I run a 24 or 26 with 1.75 gears and 300x. With the taller gears and slightly smaller boat I would "guess" that you are close with a 24 or 26....

Thanks up roktoy, however i did hear the 300x revs higher and the 300xs has lower revs and higher torque.

thanks for your help
