Had a cover that I used to put on the Prop shaft after I took the prop off. Can't seem to find another. Does anybody have an idea? I think Merc makes them. Thanks, Chuck

I like the condom one.:D I just use white electrical tape. Go to a shoe maker and get him to make you a leather sheath.Or get a tube of teflon or plastic. They come in any solid diamiter you want and tap out the center to mach your safts treads and wala custom coloued and treaded to. James

Accualy a water hose cut or a nice clear high end tubbing the right length should slide on there tight enough? Go to a auto store and see what they have for tubbing? James

Hi Chuck, I have lost many Merc. covers. I bought a 2 foot piece of grey foam pipe insulation, not the paper covered, just grey foam. there is a ID that fits the fat shaft, cut it to length, very cheap, easy to find.Put on the washer and prop nut, the foam compresses a little bit, water tight sleeve. I keep a couple in my boat crate.

Chuck, 1 1/4" grey pvc pipe. Put washer/nut works great and it doesn't hold water. Tony

I used the shipping cover for a auto CV joint assembly. Fit the small shaft perfectly. Just cut it the right length. Maybe some of the auto tech's here can chime in and tell us if they make one the fat shaft diameter. mike

if i was to do it i would just take a piece of hose
but why do you need to cover the shaft?

Billy, I never trailer with my props on, just don't want anything to fly up and hit it.

1BAD- Do you have a web-site for them? Chuck

I've seen those clear-green plastic coke cups that look kinda retro used. They are large enough diameter to fit small and large shafts, and they fit snuggly inside the blowout ring. You drill a hole at the base of the cup and hold it in place with the propshaft nut. I like the 1 1/4" sch.40 conduit as well, the lock tab washer fits perfectly inside to hold it in place.
Want more bling? Rattle-can your custom color as you see fit.
