I have to thank Brent Shaw and "Hollywood" Nick Winski at Wintech. Brent brought his boat over from Iowa to the frozen tundra of Big Bend, WI to have Nick install the new powerhead that he put together for Brent on that killer enclosed Allison that Brent owns.
Brent was breaking it in and apparently got a little bored driving the boat around, so he let Nick and I take some time breaking it in. That is an AWESOME boat. I owned a couple Allison Drags with big power on them, but being enclosed is a totally different experience. Brent has that boat setup perfectly too because even going from a stock motor to a mod motor, the boat launched flat and got right up on the pad without hardly having to move the steering wheel. Even with all of Brent's lead weight (250#) still sitting in the boat, a 26" Yamaha break in wheel and 34cc heads, the thing pulled like an absolute rocketship. Nick did an awesome job on that motor....it's wicked.
It's my first boat ride of the year - Nick's now working on getting my ProMax together to put on my SuperSport...hopefully in the next two weeks, I'll be able to go for a ride in my boat.
You guys down south don't know how great you have it...we have to wait all winter to go for a boat ride up here!
