Hey all! New to this awesome boat forum. I have a 1976 18' Marlin with a 'rude 115. The controls are mounted on the floor next to the left side of the right side seat with the tilt/trim switch mounted on the dash. I am wondering if there is such an animal as a control with an integral tilt/trim that is operated with the left hand thumb. I have looked in what I would call the most obvious places and did a search here but no luck. Thanks in advance for any advice.

they make a trim that looks like a turn signal that mounts behind the sreeing wheel flange

i use a teleflex after market control that was designed for merc cruisers it has switches on both sides of the handle top. i use one for the tilte and the other for hoist.
but the turn signal style is the best. i use a double [about $75].

Thanks for the info guys - much appreciated. I finally contacted Teleflex directly. They have a few controls that can be configured for left - hand use and one that has a thumb operated trim. The SL3. I'd seen it in boaters world and overtons and the like but not described as reversable. Sometimes ya' gotta dig a bit to find what you want. Startin' to think about refinishing the old girl (30 y.o. original paint/gelcoat) Just ordered up a couple books on fiberglassing and boat restoration but I'll be checkin' back in here a lot I'm sure. Meanwile I got me some book learnin' to do just to get up to speed (pun intended) with y'all.
Thanks again, Dave.
I ski. Therefore, I am.
