I ordered a full line of Mechanical Livorsi gauges and angled bezels from Trick Marine a while back and just got around to installing them. Problem is the water pressure gauge they sent me was an electronic gauge and does not match my mechanical hardware. Even though I asked for a mechanical gauge and they sent the wrong one. When I contacted them they said 'They no longer carry Livorsi and there is nothing they could do for me'. TALK ABOUT DISSAPOINTING!!!!
Anyone have a Livorsi sender out there?

QGMABBIS,settle back,this could be a long one!
aren't gaffrig and Livorsi basically the same gauges? I thought at one time they were the same company or something like that.
Bummer about trick, I ahd great service from them a year or so ago, but have read some less than stellar things lately. Its a shame, it takes a long time to build a good rep, and just a few seconds to ruin it.

Call Mark Weigl at Tuff Marine 519-240-9010 - I'm sure he'll be able to help you out.
Plus he is in Cambridge, Ont.

There's an "unhappy with TRICK" thread going on in the props and rigging section as well.

I was told that Livorsi dropped them because they were owed ALOT of money from Trick.

So why not just call Livorsi direct? I've always found them to be very helpful, although I haven't bought anything from them in a pretty long time now. I'm sure he'd be sympathetic given the details of your situation.
Just out of curiosity though, what exactly is "a while back"? Several months as opposed to several years would obviously cast a different shadow on somebody's unwillingness/inability to help.

Just to build on Raceman's comment. I needed riffle bolts for a rebuilt block to use with an older Gaffrig Pyro and finally called Livorsi. They shipped them out the next day. Should have called them in the first place. No they were not cheap, but I got them in 2 days.

The parts to complete the electronic gauge were more expensive then mechanical gauge so I bought a mechanical gauge instead as I have the hardware for it from my previous gauge.
I'll be putting the electronic up for sale. I probaby should have called Livorsi.
Item was bought about 8 months ago.

Livorsi doesn't care how old, etc.their customer support system is great!
Phish,
John Spaeth is OEM with Livorsi, he is hard to beat on price. To be fair, I don't think he can help you now. But in the future he is worth considering for parts.

Id be careful before going around spouting out information that im sure you have no clue about. That could be damaging to someone's rep, and its not your place to do that, whether that claim is true or not.
As far as Trick Marine goes, ive dealt with them over the past few years. Mostly good results, some unfavorable but whatever. Fred and his crew always do whatever they can to make right a wrong...ive known them all personally for years. Its seems to me that the trend, at least on this board, is to bash someone and try to ruin their rep. b/c you had a bad experience and feel the need to act like a ****ing five year old. Ive dealt with every marine service dealer in this country and ALL OF THEM HAVE THEIR FAULTS. we all know that nothing is easy in this industry, NOTHING. I think you guys should grow the **** up and realize that its just boating. Trust me, there are WAY worse people in this world than Fred and the folks at Trick. Sorry for my two cents but i must defend my friends.

Well Mike - They did not do whatever they could. They tried to get me off the phone as fast as possible with one word answers. Do they only help friends like you or customers?
So the post you left for W-MAN aboutbeing careful what he said... its the internet, GOOD LUCK!

Sorry you had a bad experience with them...it happens. Im gonna take myself out of this b/c it is only gonna turn into mudslinging. As far as the post to W-Man...all i was stating is that itd be better to base a statement like that off of facts rather than hearsay. But you guys can have it, im out.

Guys, posting about Trick's status with Livorsi is silly - nobody here knows the facts about that situation and it's nothing like what's being posted here, so it renders that matter moot.
If you all have any questions about Trick Marine or Livorsi, you are encouraged to contact them directly.
