Anybody know anything about Monterey boats? How is the build quality? Is it an independant company or is it owned by a parent company? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

They sell them at Skipper Bud's in Fenton, MI. Or at least they did, I have not driven by there in a while....do you have acess to one in person or would you like someone to cehck one out for you?

My boss is looking at a used one and he asked it I knew anything about them. He said it seams to be a good quality boat but they also seam to be an expensive boat. I think it is an 01 he is looking at.

They look like typical run - a - bouts to me. Comparable to a sea ray, 4winns, rinker, etc.

I worked at a marina over the summer and we sold plenty of montereys. All of them are quality boats. You should see how thick their hulls are. They are built to LAST. Only problem is on all of there 26 footers and up, they built the beams a little too narrow so they lean alot. Their 24's are good quiality boats though. The 26's really lean though. If you take one person and put him on the starboard side, you'll see the boat tipping over. They put on an 8'6 beam when they needed it wayy bigger
