I need to know if there is a way to direct all of the exhaust thru my above water exhaust system without hurting my motor. right now i am running a worked 28 pitch big ear chopper over the hub. It is blowing out and slipping way to much out of the hole.

Why not have the prop worked? You can also drill exhaust relief holes in the lower unit, which will help. I don't think you can block it off totally from coming out the lower. You can reduce it, which might help.

Agreed. Drill some relief holes in the gearcase housing. Do not drill or add holes to the mid. It's almost impossible to run an over-hub without relieving some of those exhaust gasses. Also, if you relieve through the case, the motor will idle quietly as the exhaust will be muffled under water.

Try a whale tail of some form. I put a Bob's True Tracker on my Merc and solved my problem with over hub props. No more 5000 rpm and wait to plane. I used a chopper for water skiing all last year.

thanks guys, i already have a bob's above water exhaust and one of his whale tails. in case you guys are wondering i installed a plate inside the midsection just below the above water exhaust and drilled two 1/4 inch hole in it to relieve the water that builds up, it runs great now. it has just the right amount of slippage.
