I have an aluminum fuel tank that has been sitting with fuel inside for about 7 years, I found some signs of moisture along with some sludge. Any suggestions as to what I can use to clean it out with?

some diesel tanks we have at work we put a chain down inside and let it bang back and forth to knock the sludge off the floor and walls of the tank then dump the chain out and flush many times. this may be an option i do not know how big your tank is.

What about a 60gal Aluminum tank that is integrated into the hull?

How big (gallons) is the tank?
Permanantly installed?
How much gas is in it?
What, exactly, is your definition of "some signs of moisture"?
and "some sludge"?
Do you live in a salt air environment?
When you get it emptied, Dawn dish soap is a very good cleaner, plus there's the commercially used (tank cleaning solutions) products, too. I would go that direction first I think.
The answers to those 6 questions are pretty important to know tho before you start.

I cleaned a small tank, using the chain. Worked good.
