Does anybody know if this thing ever was sold? I've never heard of one, but, that really doesn't mean anything.

Years back I used to see these guys out of Denton Texas running these on some wooden hydros at the boat drags. Neat looking motor, had 6 2-barrel carbs.

yep, seen them in person, screaming motors they were, back in late 70's early 80's I believe, ran in the HGCMA (Houston Gulf Coast Marathon Association) in local races at Lake Liberty, Palestine & Conroe

Brad Miller bought me a BRAND NEW ONE in February 1978. We raced it a the Parker 7 Hour the first week of March 1978...

Few were sold, most were owned and controlled by OMC. I traded my motor to Mercury Marine (Gary Garbrecht) for a 1979 V-6 race motor...

A guy named "Hog Body" has a Triple C, mid section and gearcase... He was living in Havasu.... His real name is Chuck Walters...just remembered...He had a V-6 Merc on top...

Stoker, John's Custom Marine, probably has a power head or two...Mercury probably still has mine...

Dave Rankin of California Offshore, GN and Super Stock fame had the last Triple C I saw race...He had like two complete motors, but no clue to where he sold them...

This is a painting of my Triple C, by Val Longwell, aka BK.....

here's another good shot of the cougar, stlouis 79, had it not knocked off one of his spark plug wires, my dad would have run him down and driven thru him he was so mad...would have won the heat..

Ron, Larson sold his stuff about 5 years ago, both molinari's, complete on trailers, with all the parts. The last I heard, jimmy's cut-down molinari with the V-4 was still in the shop.

Bob's big blue boat was then sold to somebody for a delta toy. One hell of a toy if you ask me.

Just a note - I was still in high school when I painted that. ;) I donated it as a door prize for a SCOA racer -- I had practiced painting kneel down boats for months - I never dreamed Ron Hill and "Crazy Horse", the Parker Enduro winner, would win the door prize! The pressure.....

Here's a shot of more of the COBRA bunch -- Puddingstone around 1989. Just weeks before I left for Texas. These people were my "Family" back then. They are all still very special to me.
Left to right:
Kurtis Seebold (sitting on boat 42), Joe Johnson, Tricia Skelton (who caught the bouquet at our wedding) and her boyfriend sitting beside her, Rick "Uncarik" Widoe with the orange Arcadian hat, the lovable Roger Johnson - in the cockpit, and JJ's brother Bruce Johnson. Joey's friend is behind the boat with the stroller, but geez, I can't remember her name!

If you look to the left you'll see "Wilkes Marine" box truck, Don Johnston's "Arcadian" Burgess, and Rick Hoffman's Yamaha powered Mod-C.

Val, if you look on everyone's arm, you will see a black band. That picture you have was taken the Sat. morning of Gene Dion's funeral.

Also, her name is Sue.

There are 2 or 3 guys both on this board or friends of guys on this board that have CCCs. The parts are getting real expensive. They are quite the collectors item nowadays. I think there might be one at the '02 Rumble.

Here is a shot of J. Carter's F1 V8 that was at last years Rumble. Very impressive. It has that "dock appeal" shall we say ;)

we had some bonehead down here with an old V8 on some lake boat that thought he was daring, he became a statistic...whoever strapped a V8 on an already unstable STV is, i wish them lots of luck..

I almost put a V8 on my Lund. Decided against it :D

that seems SUPER easy to blow over, lots of power not much nose weight...physics aren't on your side..maybe the boat is stable but the driver is definately unstable...
