Nope, It's a Viper, and did I read that right, for $650 bucks, you get the boat and a merc lower unit with a low water pickup?? Dirt Cheap, and it's over there in BL's neck of the woods.

Recon' he at least got his V's right and it's a Viking? He says it's 19' and a Viper, so there ain't no tellin'.
That thing is a V-King or a Vulture at that length. Which is wrong in either case (18 and 20). Close but no cigar. Vector maybe, Viper no. Picture is deceptive.

Sure looks like a vector to me . Still not a bad buy.

Well, if the year is correct, it can't be a Viking, since those came out in 1978. Can't be a Viper because it has a pointed nose. It just looks too short to be a Vulture. My guess is it's a Vector, but who knows what condition it's in...

The left hand steer could be just a simple reversed picture. Can't make out the registration numbers to tell for sure.

Hey Nut, it'd be worth it just for the spare parts alone. Remember, there's a center section and a lower unit that goes with the deal. :D
All them Hydrostreams look alike to me anyway! Vegas and Virage are the only ones I can spot right off.:D

It's either a Vector or V-King. Sure wish I was born wealthy. In the past 2 years, I've come across at least 8 Hydrostreams that needed floors and/or transoms for cheap!!
I have on old Vulture with no floor or transom. On a good trailer. Needs some TLC. Someone wanted this thing he could come pick it up. No charge. Got too many projects.

raceman,
looks like FL-5013-GM is the number and may have a guage pod in the center of the dash or something so it doesnt look like a reversed pic but thats a damn good thought!!

I am pretty certain thats a 78 or up viking. I am certain it is either a viking or a vector. A 76 would not be a v-king but the guy is wrong about the length and the name. (Its not 19' and its got a longer nose than a viper). He could be wrong about the year also. The bow looks too long to be a vector. What year did they stop installing the back-to-back seating?
Hmmmm

I just clicked on the picture for a larger size JPEG. I change my vote. Its a Vector.
Well, ...it could be a viking,.......................:D

AZH, don't change your vote! It's a '78 Viking and does have a center gauge pod. Pictures of it in the Member's section (Viking) on my website.

Tunnelmike, I haven't seen the boat, but to answer your question...the owner did ask me once where you can buy new balsa material :(
I do know he wants to sell it very, very quickly....

It is a V King. If you follow the rubrail it goes basically straight back until it turns for the transom. On Vectors they do not go straight back they will get a lot wider than a V king before turning into the transom. It sounds crazy but it's true!
Advert says it needs some floor work. This means it needs a floor, stringers, new core, and maybe a transom. Not a lot of fun to replace, but it can be done. Figure another $500 to $1000 in material, and a LOT of labour.
Looks like a good project for someone else.
