My friend has a 140 rude on a 16' HydraSport bassboat. What is the recommended rpm for this motor

I recommend that he turns it 12,000, then replace the pieces with a Merc.

Raceman he said omc not mercrude oh thats right I now have a merc. On second note is the 140 a looper of x-flow and stock what mods. Rick

Anything under 6000 !!!!!!!!!! Unless it's really tweeked.
