Here sits Fleur-de-Lis in quiet repose, in the company of Old Glory, awaiting her maiden voyage. The fitting out process is nearly complete, only have to work out a few bugs before declaring everything finished.

The 1500Xs started and ran last weekend, but needs a few more tweeks to be right.

Hopefully, before the month is out, we'll be ripping down the bayou with a cheshire grin:D !

If anyone is interested in the history of the boat, go to aomci.org, links, and Raveau Boats Homepage from there. Or, for a pictorial history, go to propnut.com and click on "Lake X".

showing the Hydromotive 26" T-4X four-blade. Hope it proves out to be a good wheel. Transom height is a fixed 22" which puts the propshaft about 1.25" below the notched pad.

just picked it up in December. He builds them 1 at a time, by himself. His name is Bob Walwork, he is an independent prototype hull designer for major boat manufacturer's. Originally worked with Marcel Raveau, the originator of these particular boats, in the '50's and 60's.

He worked for Mr. K at Lake X for a period of time running the "Boathouse Bulletin" Department. Has lots of good Carl stories.

Anxious to try the boat, should be a real performer with the old inline XS.
