New territory for me I need to set up wireless internet in my house, Ive got a hardline DSL connection at about 1.5 to a desktop computer, but I will need to have access for a couple of laptops, what is the best way to accomplish this? money is a factor so cheap would be good to....thanks in advance

You'll need a wireless router and wireless cards for the laptops, unless the laptops have built in cards. Some ISP's offer this equipment. If yours doesn't, you can buy what you need at any electronics store.

I have that exact router, matter of fact I am online over it now. Pretty easy to setup and works good.

Also, for best coverage, try to locate the wireless router at the center of the area you want covered.

And for god sakes, use WPA, Mac Filtering, and hide the ssid.

if necessary compusa has a directional antenna for $30. place at one end of the house and should cover the rest.

And Bill, if you're into gaming, bit torrent, or run tons of concurrent connections, look into the D-Link DGL-4300. The best home router, in my opinion. :)
